HOW TO EARN
Make your contributions count.
Start with an active, email-verified account that’s at least 7 days old. Then earn points by contributing original content and attracting real readers.
Share knowledge. Help someone.
Start an original thread or leave a useful reply with at least 80 characters of text.
- Up to 5 rewarded threads per UTC day.
- Up to 20 rewarded replies per UTC day.
- One rewarded reply per thread per day.
- Repeated content and replies to your own threads do not earn points.
Helpful threads go further.
Each of your threads can earn these rewards once:
- 100 qualifying views
- +100 points
- 500 qualifying views
- +100 points
- 1,000 qualifying views
- +100 points
That’s up to 300 view-milestone points per thread. Reward views begin counting when this program launches; historical page views are not converted.
What counts as a qualifying view?
A view must come from another active, email-verified member whose account is at least 7 days old. A member counts once per thread for its lifetime, and once per author per UTC day. Refreshing a page, viewing your own thread, and anonymous traffic do not earn reward points.
How do I use my points—and keep the program fair?
When you have enough points, choose an available reward above. The points are deducted once and your coupon appears in My coupons. All Coupon Center rewards are valid only with the official FishBSE vendor; other vendors who post on the marketplace do not accept these coupons. For the water test, show its QR code to the FishBSE onsite team. Their scan uses it once; it then leaves your active wallet.
Deleted posts or threads have their new-program points reversed. If you already spent those points, your balance can become negative and must be resolved before using a coupon. Automated or coordinated activity may be reviewed. Auction coupons are coming soon and cannot spend points yet.
