Your FishBSE listings can be part of your own website. FishBSE Listings connects your WordPress site to your FishBSE seller account, bringing your eligible listings and auctions into your pages with automatically refreshed availability, prices and bids.
Whether you run a fish room, coral business or aquarium shop, you can give visitors a place to browse your FishBSE inventory alongside your own website content.
Your listings, in your website's style
Add the FishBSE Listings block in the WordPress editor, or place [fishbse_listings] in a Shortcode block. Choose a card, list or compact layout, with light, dark or theme-based colors. Filter by listing type and category, and display up to 24 items.
Visible pages refresh every 15 seconds. The plugin checks current access and availability instead of treating an old price as a confirmed purchase. Your inventory stays managed through FishBSE; there is no separate WordPress product catalog to maintain.
Let buyers purchase or bid
Enable transaction buttons for eligible listings and choose how buyers continue:
Stay on your website: buyers connect through a FishBSE sign-in and approval popup, then review a purchase or place an auction bid in an on-page panel. Stripe handles payment details.
Open FishBSE: buyers continue through the FishBSE checkout or bidding flow.
FishBSE continues to manage inventory, reservations, orders and auction results. Sellers handle orders, shipping and refunds through FishBSE.
Choose a quantity—and know what is reserved
The latest update lets buyers select how many units they want from per-item listings. The item total updates with the quantity, and the seller's shipping charge applies once per order. Listings sold as a complete lot remain one purchase.
Starting payment reserves the selected quantity, subject to a fresh availability check. Other buyers cannot reserve those same units while the hold remains active.
Already started checkout? An Active reservation notice shows the reserved quantity and explains why it is locked. Buyers can resume that checkout or choose Cancel reservation to change quantity. Once cancellation succeeds, they can select a new quantity from the remaining stock. Leaving the page does not cancel the reservation, and cancelling disables the old payment link.
Optional FishBSE DOA coverage, when offered, remains available for single-unit checkouts only.
Connect WordPress in a few steps
Prepare your FishBSE account. Verify your email and complete Stripe seller verification, with card payments and payouts enabled. Your account must have WordPress integration access. The separate FishBSE Verified badge is not required.
Install the plugin. Download FishBSE Listings, then open Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin in WordPress. Upload the ZIP and activate it. Use WordPress 6.3 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, and HTTPS on your public website.
Connect your account. Open Dashboard > WordPress listings in FishBSE and generate an API key. Copy it into Settings > FishBSE Listings in WordPress, review the connection information, and save.
Choose your display. Set your layout, colors, filters and item count. Select your preferred transaction experience if you want purchase and bid buttons.
Add your listings to a page. Insert the FishBSE Listings block or shortcode, preview the result, and publish your page.
Already connected?
Update to FishBSE Listings 1.5.3 for the quantity selector and clearer reservation notices in the embedded purchase panel. Existing API keys and listing blocks remain supported. The optional FishBSE footer logo and credit link are off by default and can be enabled in the display settings.
Keep your API key private: the full key is shown only when generated, and replacing it disconnects websites using the previous key. The plugin stores it on your WordPress server rather than placing it in public page content. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for service and data-sharing details.
